• Log and usage data such as timestamps, feature usage, and interactions

This information is used solely for security, reliability, and performance monitoring.

Whimsy does not sell personal information.

If you choose to sign in using Google OAuth:

• We receive only the minimum information required to authenticate your account, such as your email address and basic profile identifiers
• This information is used solely for authentication, account creation, and account access
• OAuth data is not used for advertising, marketing, or profiling
• OAuth data is not shared with third parties except as necessary to provide the Service

Whimsy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can revoke access at any time in your Google Account settings.

4.1 Data Accessed

When a user signs in using Google OAuth, Whimsy accesses only:

• Your Google account email address
• Basic profile information necessary for authentication (name, profile picture, unique user identifier)

Whimsy does not access Google contacts, files, emails, calendar, or any other Google services through OAuth.

4.2 Data Usage

Google user data is used solely to provide core functionality including authenticating your identity, creating your account, and displaying your name and profile picture where applicable.

Google user data is not used for advertising, marketing, profiling, or training machine learning or AI models.

4.3 Data Sharing

Whimsy does not sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties for their own purposes.

4.4 Data Storage and Protection

Google user data is securely stored using standard industry practices, including encryption in transit and at rest.

4.5 Data Retention and Deletion

You may request deletion of your Google user data and your Whimsy account at any time by contacting whimsyquestapp@gmail.com.

• Groups. If you create or join a group, other group members can see your participation, activity, and any content you post within that group.
• Friend invitations. If you invite friends, we may use the contact information you provide solely to deliver the invitation.
• Community tab. If you choose to share a completed side quest, photo, or note publicly, that content is visible to other users. You control what you post.

Whimsy personnel may access user content only when necessary for support, security, reliability, or legal compliance.

We do not currently use third-party analytics or crash reporting tools. We maintain internal logs to monitor reliability and security. We do not collect advertising identifiers.

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only with:

• Service providers and infrastructure partners necessary to operate the Service
• Other users, as described in Section 5, based on your sharing choices
• Legal authorities when required by law
• Parties necessary to protect the security or integrity of Whimsy

Whimsy uses standard security practices, including encryption in transit and at rest. While we take reasonable measures, no system can be guaranteed completely secure.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You may request deletion of your account by contacting us. When you do, we delete your account and associated content within 30 days. Content shared to groups or the community tab may remain visible to other users until separately deleted.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent where applicable. Contact us using the information below.

Whimsy is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by revising the "Last updated" date. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
